Sarah's Easter photo shoot

Last week we turned our living room into a photography studio. I wanted to take some pictures for the front of our Easter cards and of course so we would have some cute pictures of Sarah in bunny ears. The problem was that the ears were way to big for her head! I did a test shoot a few days prior to when we took the real photo's, and that is when I discovered that the ears would just keep falling off. So I went to the store and bought a baby headband that matched her outfit and used it underneath the bunny ears. It worked pretty well, though the ears were still too big and with Sarah constantly looking down to pick up the little eggs, of course the ears slid down. Although frustrating, the ears just made these Easter portraits super ADORABLE! Of course it helps when you have an adorable kid to work with too ;)

Sarah's first CLAP!

This morning Sarah and I did our usual morning routine of changing, diapering, eating toast and yogurt and drinking some juice. After these things are accomplished, that is when mommy is able to finally eat her breakfast and have a cup of coffee. Well to my surprise, as soon as I sit down Sarah starts clapping! With one palm completely open and the other one semi open she happily starts hitting one hand against the other. I got so excited and exclaimed "Good girl, you're clapping!" and I start to clap along with her. It isn't until then that she realizes she is doing something that mommy enjoys, and she giggles and claps even more. Usually Sarah's big thing is smacking surfaces, people and toys. But now that she knows she can hit her hand against the other, maybe daddy won't be the brunt of all her playful abuse :)
